Research

The research carried out in the group is in the areas of Synthetic, Medical and Bioorganic Chemistry.
The lines that are currently active are focused on:

• Design and synthesis of bioactive compounds against targets involved in renal disease
• Development of new synthetic methodologies
• Synthesis, reactivity and applications of azaborines
• Development of new agents for cell staining and bioimaging

Funding

The group is financed in the period 2020-2024 through competitive projects of the Ministerio Economía, Industria y Competitividad, Instituto de Salud Carlos III (RETICS), Comunidad de Madrid (Biomedicine program) and Universidad de Alcalá.
